Oregon our new home!

We have been here for a week and so far we are loving it. Don't get me wrong its been lonely, not knowing anyone has been hard, and i miss our friends and family like crazy but i am excited for our new adventure. I feel like everyday is an adventure whether it is finding the closest grocery store or park or going on real adventures to the coast or portland. My parents drove up here with us and helped us move in which was so nice. It was so much fun while they were here and we got to see lots of cool things. My parents have done so much for us lately and i can't thank them enough, they even spent there 40th anniversary helping us move, that is true love. Today was our first week at church and our ward seems amazing, lots of young couples who are students in our same situation! Tons of kids, lucy was in heaven in nursery and im so excited to get to know some people. Roman starts PA school Tuesday so our lives are going to change quickly, they past year it has been so nice have him around so much and that is going to end. Lucy has had a hard time adjusting, she's always been such a mama's girl but that has changed and i think its because she can sense the change happening. I hope we can cope with not having daddy around as much, she's been so spoiled with all the attention she gets from him. Anyways here are some pics, Oregon could not be more opposite of Az, sun everyday, heat and dessert vs rainy, chilly and lush. The cloudiness has gotten to me more than i thought it would, i have been so lazy and im hoping i will get use to it. It truly is beautiful here and im excited to be here!

  2. OMGoodness, can we say GORGEOUSNESS everywhere. Those scenic pics, waterfall, green, EVERYTHING looks fake! {and I saw sun too...isn't Oregon supposedly cloudy all the time too?...well, apparently not based on your pics} House looks adorable...those trees!! Seriously looks amazing...enjoy it. I will say you will miss family, but at the same time it TOTALLY makes you grow closer together as a family. {granted I'm sure EVERYONE has already told you that, but it's TRUE}

  3. You'll love Portland! It has been my favorite place we have lived so far. There's so much to do and give it about another month and you'll be dying from the heat. I'm sure we will visit Portland sometime this summer so we'll have to get together. Good luck with the adjustments, you'll do great.
